I have just finished creating the initial release, and is available for downloading. A permanent link can be found under “Related Links” on the right hand side of this page, or you can always Click Here.
This initial release is version 0.7.9, and is known to work on my Linux machine running MySQL 4, and Perl 5.8.

Over the past few days the web site has not been accessible often. Any visitor would have seen a WordPress error page saying that the database is not responding. It appears the SourceForge’s MySQL servers have been acting funny.
Thing seem to be working fine for now, but if this turns out to be typical service from SourceForge we may be looking for a new home.

With the web site back up, at least temporarily, I have been able to expand the documentation for Senas. The expanded documentation contains a brief explanation of how to install Senas.
The documentation page will serve as a source for all information dealing with Senas, both technical and non-technical in nature. I am unsure exactly how to organize the data, but that will come in time.

A demonstration of Senas has been created. You can find the link for it on the right, under “pages”.
This demonstration is mainly a proof on concept, plus it comes in really handy for debugging. Because of that, you should not expect to do anything too serious with the search results. Ranking is implemented, however a bug in oracle 0.7.9 is causing the index to contain duplicate entries. A fix for this should be out in the next few days.
Also, for anyone who wants the latest version. The CVS is available anonymously, and contains an exact copy of what I have, bugs and all. Details for access the CVS can be found on SourceForge’s page.
